BioKylie Troop is a stand-up comedian, writer, and full-time hypochondriac. The self-proclaimed material girl ditched a PhD program to pursue comedy after asking herself one important question: “What’s more financially reckless than academia?”Based in Austin, Kylie performs across the country at comedy clubs, festivals, bars, and the occasional theater whenever a friend decides to do the right thing. She also runs a successful weekly comedy advice show, Lip Service, where audience members bring their real life problems and comedians attempt to solve them (poorly).She has been featured at Netflix Is a Joke Festival, Moontower Comedy Festival, and the Big Pine Comedy Festival, and has appeared on Tubi and SiriusXM -- proving that at least a few people find her funny.Her comedy blends sharp writing with unfiltered honesty, tackling everything from questionable life choices to the growing realization that her emotional support dog might need emotional support of his own.Her ultimate goal is simple: bring laughter to a world on fire and maybe roast some marshmallows along the way.
